Y...Branding begins with excellent customer service. Yet, too often, companies spend a fortune on advertising only to cancel their efforts with a single bad customer interaction. Sometimes, clients just want to be heard, yet as you note that gets harder and harder--as companies omit telephone numbers from their sites,institute long hold times, or fail to train their CSRs to try to resolve complaints--rather than just pass the customer around from place to place. Today, on the other hand, I was delighted when a front line person took action to counteract a customer-hostile company "policy".
