Improve Website Authority with High PR Links

Achieving top rankings for your website, blog, or affiliate marketing pages is growing in importance as Google and other online advertisers continue to change the online marketing landscape.  A good friend of mine recently had his account banned by Google despite years of advertising and adhering to advertising guidelines.  Apparently Google changed some terms and made the independent determination that his claims, although backed by more than 3 years of data, did not meet their standards.

This is actually quite common
When I communicated this story to other marketers I found out that it's more common than I had first thought.  It appears as thought Google is in the drivers seat.  When I asked my friend what he was going to do, he seemed positive and said, "I'll find other sources of traffic."  This is easier said then done in the world of Google, but I give him a lot of credit for staying positive and focusing on how he could turn the situation around.

Being focused on search engine optimization, I think this type of behavior from online advertising networks is the reality that we are all faced with and something we must proactively manage.  To so so, combining both online marketing with search engine optimization, you can hedge against the erratic behavior of Google and other online advertisers.

Improving Your Organic Rankings
How do you improve your organic ranking while focusing on pay-per-click marketing?  I can tell you as someone who wrote the book on SEO (SEO Made Simple) it's simply a matter of managing on-page optimization factors and getting links from high authority websites.  Through the development of authority links pointing to your website or landing pages, you can dramatically improve your rankings.

When internet browsers see your website or brand appearing in both organic and paid results, it reinforces your brand and positions you as a leader in your market - if done correctly.  Always focus on your target market and get in front of them with proper messaging again and again. The result can be dramatic.

Don't stop at one form of marketing.  Combine on page and off page strategies to enhance your organic results while at the same time engaging in pay-per-click marketing that is targeted and effective.  In combination, these two techniques can take your marketing to the next level.

  2. Interesting is the way you have revealed so many useful things. A high PR always have a fantastic impression over the visitors and reflects authority. Although pay per click marketing services are not genuine but you can take advantages from both the organic SEO (on-page and off-page optimization) and pay per click services to get into the next level of marketing.

  4. When your links are posted on highly related and relevant high PR web pages, the chances of the search engine spiders crawl your website are also bettered and hence you are given a good page rank owing to the association with an already established authority website.

  7. I like the way you have put this in simple terms, for many to understand. I am an SEO consultant, and i think backlinks are the most important part of SEO. I have previously found that without good quality links, you haven't got a chance. all of the other SEO stuff counts as well of course, but link affiliations account for around 70% of overall SEO. this is massive when you think how time consuming it is to gain these links, but its always worth it. :)

its very refreshing reading an article that displays good information like this.

    Thanks.

  13. Thanks for this post, This month I am learning as much as I can about seo, and to be honest the "black hat" seo is really scary to me because I don't want to accidentally do something that will get me in trouble. I think I'll look into that book you suggested. thanks again

  14. Michael,

This is great material! Do you know of a good resource where I may be able to find how to enhance and improve the SEO for my blog? I have read that purely having more pages (be it website or blog) will improve ones ranking on the basis of relevance.

    Thank you,

    Steve

Internet Marketing does not only drive traffic to our site or increase our revenues, but what is important is that to share to people that we have great goods that they can use or tool that can help improve themselves or their lives..

  16. Agree, very succint. Amazing how many people forget 'content is king!'. Integrating with YouTube is great too as users respond well to video.

  17. Don't forget linkbuilding! Posting a comment every once in while helps to.

  18. The easiest way of finding out good quality links is to see who your competitors have linking to them. And the best way of doing this is to use the Yahoo Link domain query.

  19. Good article! That's true. Submit your link with high PR an get the Organic Rank.

  20. When building the organic links I think you have to pay attention to “Page Authority” and “Domain Authority” as well as “Page Rank”. It is difficult to find links which has high PA, DA and PR, but if you are able to do so, those links add more value to your visibility in search engines.

  21. Not everybody has the personality to talk people into buying a product so door to door sales might not be for you. If you are not a very outgoing person and do not want to put on shows for a direct sales business you can look into companies that do their direct sales over the internet.

  22. Leaving useful and helpful comments on blogs and forums help a great deal. But it's getting much harder these days to find good authority sites without 'nofollow' attribute in their anchor tag where the value can be passed to your site.

    Nice piece BTW.

  24. there is a huge trend moving back to SEO based marketing. backlinks are one part of the puzzle. on-site optimization is probably even more important. i've been having a lot of luck with keyword domain names. currently i have 9 sites ranked number one and another 40 in the top 10.

  25. Interesting post. To obtain high PR authority one has to work for both onsite and offsite. Since directory submission is not very relevant these days, what are the other ways with which we can build links? What search engines likes most?

  30. Hello, I have a few words about angela’s backlinks. I used Angela’s backlinks and I’m still using them. I don’t want to say bad things about angela or paul links, but there seem to be a problem from my point of view, all the profile you make have PR 0 and chances to remain PR 0 are 90 % unless you contribute to all communitys that you sign up for. The good thing is that now the pdf’s are protected by password and won’t be shared on the internet and google alerts don’t work anymore because Angela uses a diferent footprint.

    P.S. I like this blog.

  34. I've been able to find high pr sites that I can get a link from but the landing page the link will be on often has a pr of 0 or 1. Does that make it a high authority link?

  35. Incoming links are some of the most potent ranking factors so it is worth commenting on blogs, forums. Do not forget to add some relevant content too..

  36. Nice article , but its not just about quantity of links but quality and relevance . I prefer to put time into fewer high qulity links .

  37. Thanks for the post . Yes link building is vital but what about out going links , do they help pr or reduce it.

  38. Sometimes it takes a couple of weeks or longer to get a new domain indexed by Google. There are many off-line and on-line SEO techniques that can greatly improve and speed up your inclusion in search engine index.

  39. I am not too sure myself as to the degree by which out bound lnks will reduce , if at all , PR.I work hard generating in bound links but must admit I shy away from any out bound .

  42. I have focused recently on trying to gain high authority backlinks, but of course it is much easier said than done! Even when there is an apparent opportunity, I am finding it really hard to make a relevant contribution to gain a link. Usually the subject matter does not lend itself to a posting from my area of business.

  43. Higher page ranks does not guarantee you higher SERP or visibility. Creating quality back links is challenge and tiresome but will eventually get a lot of quality traffic.
